Myriam Couturier
TORONTO METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY
Myriam Couturier is a PhD candidate in the joint Communication and Culture program at Toronto Metropolitan and York Universities (Toronto). She holds an MA in Fashion from Toronto Metropolitan University. Her research interests include historical clothing archives, everyday fashion, the performance of gender through fashion, and fashion in film. Her doctoral dissertation focuses on fashion in the context of the Canadian corporate archive. She is currently working as a research assistant on Dr. Alison Matthews David’s book and exhibition project Unravelling Crime: A Forensic History of Fashion. She is a member of the Modern Literature and Culture Research Centre (MLCRC) at Toronto Metropolitan University.
