Milla Ewart (she/her) is a Toronto-based journalist currently completing her Master of Journalism at Toronto Metropolitan University. Milla is an enthusiastic storyteller with experience in both hard-hitting newsrooms and narrative features. She has previously worked for CBC in both their international bureau in London, England, and Toronto, as well as for Harrowsmith Magazine and Her Campus.

She has a passion for stories that document different global perspectives. Her coverage ranges from the Eurovision Song Contest to health epidemics abroad. Her interest in international affairs extends from her extensive travel through Europe, Asia, and Australia after finishing her Bachelor’s in Global Development from Queen’s University. Milla aspires to travel and write more in the future to broaden her global perspectives even more.

Her academic work during her bachelor’s degree explored sustainable practices in fashion and supply chains, while her pursuit of journalism has led her to cover local Toronto fashion brands and amplify the voices behind these businesses.

On her days off, Milla can be found in ballet class, running along the Toronto Harbourfront, or walking her french bulldog.
