Milla Ewart (she/her) is an aspiring writer and journalist who is in her first year of a Master of Journalism at Toronto Metropolitan University. An enthusiastic storyteller with a BA in International Development from Queen’s University. Milla is passionate about documenting global stories and sharing diverse perspectives through journalism. Since graduating in 2023, Milla has traveled extensively through Europe, Asia, and Australia immersing herself in the unique experiences of communities deeply protective of their cultural traditions.

Her travels inspired her to pursue journalism as a platform for amplifying the voices of communities whose cultural practices are often misunderstood. She has written previously for Harrowsmith Magazine and the Queen’s University Her Campus Chapter. Milla aspires to travel and write more in the future to broaden her global perspectives even more.

Outside of school, Milla can be found in ballet class, running along the Toronto Harbourfront, or walking her french bulldog.
